Ricerca, Inc., world-renown laboratories tested our pesticide (Agri-Formula) and proved it to be excellent and effective at controlling motile forms of Sweet Potato Whitefly, Two-spotted spider mite, Nematode, Boll Weevil, and Mosquito adults and Larvae.

Bioscreen Testing Services, Inc. conducted Environmental Protection Test #601 on our pesticide concentrate and found no chlorinated hydrocarbons.   It was found to be soluble in water.  The Lab concluded that the sample met the requirements of the Ready Biodegradability test cited under 40 CFR 796.3200 of the Environmental Protection Agency - Toxic Control Substances Act: 100% Biodegradable within 30 days.

A.M.A. Laboratories, Inc. found the pesticide orally non-toxic, non-irritant to eyes and skin.

Report/Evaluation of Agri-Formula 18 and Agri-Formula 48 for Efficacy on Sweetpotato Whitefly:

Pupal Cases/Leaf   % Mortality
Agri-Formula 18 153  70
Agri-Formula 48  277 47
Talstar 10WP 286  45
Control  517 -

The premise of this test is not to control adult whiteflies, but rather motile larval forms of the insect, which do the majority of the damage suffered by plants and are generally the only insecticide sensitive life stages. The ability to control these life stages is more economically important than controlling the adults, so performance in this test measures the desired performance.

Results of the Two-spotted Spider Mite

Two week old Sieva plants are infested with motile Two Spotted Spider Mites18 hours before treatment. Plants are sprayed to runoff, allowed to dry and transferred to a mite free holding room. After 96 hour, mortality is assessed by counting a sub-sample of 50 mites of all motile forms as either dead or alive. Rate applied was 1000 ppm (0.1% solution).

Mortality: 100% (efficacy 100%)

Results of topical bioassay of Cotton Boll Weevil using tower spray system. Adults were enclosed in wire mesh cages and held for three days at room temperature with diet before mortality assessment:

Dilution Ratio  % Mortality
1:100   100 %
1:300  100 %
1:600   69 %
1:1000 27 %

Boll Weevil is an important economic pest of cotton world wide. Control of this pest is important because it can adversely affect the quality and yield of cotton fiber due to larval feeding on developing bolls.

Results for control of Mosquito Adults and Larvae using 10% Agri-Formula 28

Adult Mosquito            Mean of 97% Mortality

Larvae                        100% Mortality

Results of Imported Cabbage Worm, a major caterpillar pest, at two concentrations 12 hours after treatment

300:1

% Mortality
Trial 1  91.6
Trial 2  100

150:1

Trial 1 100
Trial 2 100

Trials showed significant mortality of 1st through 3rd instar larvae 48 hours after treatment application. Although the greatest impact was seen for the early instars, from a pest management point of view this is the most important stage to achieve economic control over this and other important caterpillar pests.

Results on Powdery Mildew infections on potted rose plants

Agri-50 at dilutions of 1:150 and 1:300 resulted in virtually 100 % elimination of powdery mildew infections.

Reoccurrence of powdery mildew was suppressed for the 300:1 treatment from 4 to 7 days under high disease pressure. The 150:1 treatment suppressed powdery mildew a little longer from 5-9 days.

Results for four common Aphid pest of landscape and interior grown ornamental plants

Agri-50 at dilutions of 150 and 300:1 resulted in virtually 100% mortality of all aphid species tested. At the lowest concentration of 600:1, 90% or more of the pests were killed.
